Preparation

  • Wash the russet potatoes thoroughly under cool running water and scrub the skins to remove any dirt. Pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel.
  • Use a fork to poke several holes in each potato to allow steam to escape during cooking and prevent bursting.
  • In a large bowl, toss the potatoes with olive oil until they're evenly coated.
  • Sprinkle sea salt and black pepper over the potatoes, ensuring they are well-seasoned.

Cooking

  • Place the potatoes in the air fryer basket, leaving some space between them for even cooking.
  • Set the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and cook the potatoes for 35-40 minutes, checking for doneness by inserting a fork into the thickest part.

Serving

  • Once cooked, remove the potatoes from the air fryer and let them cool for a few minutes.
  • Cut a slit down the center of each potato and gently squeeze the ends to fluff up the inside.
  • Serve with butter, additional seasonings, or toppings of choice.

Notes

For storing leftovers, allow the potatoes to cool completely, wrap in foil or place in an airtight container, and refrigerate for 3-5 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F for 5-10 minutes for best results.
