  • ½ cup all-purpose flour For breading.
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper Adjust for spice preference.

For the Bang Bang Sauce

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha Adjust for spice preference.
  • 1 tablespoon lemon or lime juice

Garnishes

  • Green onions, chopped Optional for garnish.
  • Sesame seeds Optional for garnish.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, mix together garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, paprika, and cayenne pepper. Add the diced chicken pieces to the bowl and toss to coat evenly.
  • Set up a breading station with three shallow bowls: the first for flour, the second for the beaten egg, and the third for breadcrumbs.
  • Dip each piece of chicken into the flour, then into the egg, and finally coat with breadcrumbs. Place the breaded chicken on a plate or tray.

Cooking

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Once heated, arrange the chicken in a single layer in the basket, ensuring they do not touch.
  • Cook the chicken for about 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 75°C).

Bang Bang Sauce Preparation

  • In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha (if using), and lemon or lime juice. Mix until well combined.

Serving

  • Once the chicken is cooked, remove from the air fryer and toss in the Bang Bang sauce until fully coated.
  • Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

For best results, preheat your air fryer properly and avoid overcrowding the basket for crispy chicken. Adjust the sauce spice to your taste.
