Instructions
Preparation
Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C).
Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels.
In a small bowl, mix olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Rub this mixture all over the chicken thighs.
Cooking
Place the chicken thighs in a single layer in the air fryer basket, skin-side up.
Cook the chicken in the air fryer for 12 minutes.
After 12 minutes, brush half of the BBQ sauce over the chicken thighs.
Continue cooking for an additional 5-6 minutes or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C) and the skin is crispy.
Once cooked, remove the chicken from the air fryer and let it rest for a few minutes.
Before serving, brush the remaining BBQ sauce over the chicken.
Notes
For best results, allow the chicken to marinate in BBQ sauce for at least an hour before cooking. Adjust cooking times based on your air fryer model.
