Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 large head cabbage Cut into wedges
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For drizzling over cabbage
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Optional Garnish

  • fresh herbs like parsley or chives For garnish

Instructions

Preparation

  • Start by preparing your cabbage. Remove any outer leaves that are damaged, then cut the head into wedges. Aim for about 8 wedges, making sure each one retains some core to hold it together.
  • In a large bowl, drizzle olive oil over the cabbage wedges. Sprinkle garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper over them. Toss gently to ensure each wedge is coated evenly with the oil and seasonings.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).

Cooking

  • Place the seasoned cabbage wedges in the air fryer basket in a single layer. You might need to work in batches if your air fryer is small.
  • Cook the wedges for about 12-15 minutes, flipping them halfway through for even cooking. Keep an eye on them towards the end to make sure they don’t overcook.
  • Once they are golden brown and crispy, remove them from the air fryer. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired and serve warm.

Notes

Consider experimenting with different seasonings like crushed red pepper flakes or adding other vegetables like bell peppers or zucchini for a colorful mix. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
