Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 4 large carrots Washed and peeled
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper

Optional Garnish

  • to taste fresh parsley or chives For garnish

Instructions

Preparation

  • Begin by washing and peeling the carrots. Cut them into thin strips or wedges, ensuring they are roughly the same size for even cooking.
  • In a large bowl, combine the carrot strips with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Toss well to evenly coat the carrots.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.

Cooking

  • Place the seasoned carrot strips in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may need to cook them in batches.
  • Cook the carrot fries for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking. Cook until they are golden brown and crispy.

Serving

  • Once done, remove the carrot fries from the air fryer and transfer them to a plate. If desired, garnish with fresh parsley or chives before serving.

Notes

For best results, cut carrot strips uniformly, don't overcrowd the air fryer basket, and adjust seasoning to your liking. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
