  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Enhances the cookie flavor.
  • 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour Can substitute with almond flour for a nutty flavor.
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda Leavening agent.
  • ¼ teaspoon salt Enhances flavors.
  • 1 cup chocolate chips Choose your favorite type: semisweet, dark, or milk chocolate.

Preparation

  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until creamy.
  • Add the egg and vanilla extract to the mixture, mixing well until fully incorporated.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.

Cooking

  • Line the air fryer basket with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  • Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the parchment paper, leaving space between each cookie for spreading.
  • Air fry at 320°F for about 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  • Allow cookies to cool in the basket for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For best results, consider chilling the dough for 30 minutes before air frying to minimize spreading. Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature. Can freeze cookie dough for future use.
