Main ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional) Add for a spicy kick.
  • to taste Fresh lemon juice (optional, for serving)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Trim the ends of the green beans and rinse them under cold water. Pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel or paper towel.
  • In a large bowl, combine the green beans, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if using. Toss until the green beans are evenly coated.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.

Cooking

  • Place the seasoned green beans in the air fryer basket in a single layer, avoiding overcrowding.
  • Cook the green beans for 10 to 12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to promote even cooking.
  • Once tender and slightly crispy, remove from the air fryer and drizzle with fresh lemon juice if desired. Serve hot.

Notes

Ensure the beans are dry for optimal crispiness. For added flavor, consider marinating them or incorporating your favorite seasonings. Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to three days or frozen for up to three months.
