Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 large russet potatoes Peeled and rinsed to remove excess starch
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil Drizzled over grated potatoes
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Optional Garnish

  • chopped fresh herbs For garnish

Instructions

Preparation

  • Peel the russet potatoes, rinse them under cold water to remove excess starch, and pat dry with a clean towel.
  • Grate the potatoes into a large bowl using a box grater or food processor.
  • Place the grated potatoes in a clean dish towel, twist the towel, and squeeze to remove as much moisture as possible.
  • Transfer the dried grated potatoes back to the bowl, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

Cooking

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  • Spread the potato mixture into the air fryer basket in an even layer. Do not overcrowd; work in batches if necessary.
  • Cook for about 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking. Look for a golden brown color and a crispy texture.
  • Once cooked, remove from the air fryer and serve immediately, garnished with herbs if desired.

Notes

For best results, ensure the grated potatoes are dried adequately to avoid sogginess. Feel free to experiment with different seasonings and vegetables for flavorful variations. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-5 days or freeze them for up to three months.
