  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a medium-sized bowl, combine honey, barbecue sauce, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Whisk together until smooth.
  • Add the bite-sized pieces of chicken to the sauce mixture and toss gently until fully coated.
  • Place the coated chicken bites in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring not to overcrowd.

Cooking

  • Cook the chicken for about 10-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  • Check that the chicken is cooked through and has a golden exterior. Cook for an additional minute or two if necessary.

Serving

  • Carefully remove the chicken from the air fryer and transfer to a serving platter. Drizzle with more barbecue sauce if desired.
  • Serve hot with your choice of dipping sauces and side dishes.

Notes

Marinate chicken in sauce for extra flavor, avoid overcrowding in the air fryer, and adjust cooking time as needed. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days and reheat in the air fryer.
