Ingredients
  

For the cake batter

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter Melted
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips Melted with the butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar Incorporated into the melted mixture
  • 2 large eggs Room temperature
  • 2 large egg yolks Room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour Gently folded in
  • 1 pinch salt

Preparation

  • Preheat your air fryer to 370°F (188°C).
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt together the unsalted butter and semi-sweet chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  • Stir in the powdered sugar until smooth and free of lumps.
  • Add the eggs, egg yolks, and vanilla extract, whisking until well combined.
  • Gently fold in the all-purpose flour and pinch of salt until just incorporated.
  • Grease the ramekins with butter or non-stick spray.
  • Pour the batter into the ramekins, filling them about three-quarters full.

Cooking

  • Place ramekins in the air fryer basket and cook at 370°F (188°C) for about 10-12 minutes.
  • The edges should be firm while the center remains soft.
  • Let the cakes cool for a few minutes before inverting onto plates.
  • Serve warm, optionally with vanilla ice cream or a dusting of powdered sugar.

Notes
