  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese Freshly grated is best.
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley For added freshness.
  • 1 large egg Helps to bind the ingredients.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Adds great flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder Or you can use minced onions.
  • to taste salt and pepper Adjust according to preference.
  • 1 cup marinara sauce For serving, optional.

Preparation

  • Gather all the ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
  • Mix ground beef or turkey with breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, minced garlic, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  • Shape the mixture into 1-inch meatballs.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  • Arrange the meatballs in a single layer in the air fryer basket.

Cooking

  • Cook meatballs in the air fryer for 10-12 minutes until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  • Remove from the air fryer and serve warm with marinara sauce, over pasta, or in a sub sandwich.

Notes

For a balanced meal, serve with salad or roasted vegetables. Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
