Preparation

  • Clean the pumpkin seeds if you extracted them from a pumpkin, removing any strings or pulp. Rinse them under cold water and dry them thoroughly with a towel.
  • In a bowl, combine the pumpkin seeds with olive oil, salt, garlic powder, paprika, and black pepper. Toss well to coat evenly.

Cooking

  • Preheat your air fryer to 320°F (160°C).
  • Once preheated, spread the seeds in an even layer in the air fryer basket. Ensure they are not overcrowded for the best results.
  • Air fry the seeds for about 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to promote even cooking. Watch them closely in the last few minutes to prevent burning.
  • Once they are golden brown and crispy, remove them from the air fryer and let them cool. Adjust seasoning to taste if necessary.

Notes

Keep the seeds as dry as possible before seasoning for the best crunch. You can customize the flavors according to your taste. Store the cooled seeds in an airtight container to keep them fresh.
