Ingredients
  

Steak and seasoning

  • 2 pieces ribeye steaks (about 1-inch thick) Choose high-quality steaks with good marbling.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For seasoning and moisture.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • to taste fresh herbs (such as rosemary or thyme, optional) Add for extra flavor.

Preparation

  • Take the ribeye steaks out of the refrigerator and let them come to room temperature for about 20 to 30 minutes.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Pat the steaks dry with paper towels.
  • In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper to create a seasoning blend.
  • Rub the seasoning mixture all over the ribeye steaks, covering them evenly. Optionally, add fresh herbs on top.

Cooking

  • Place the seasoned steaks in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they do not overlap.
  • Cook the steaks in the air fryer for 10-12 minutes for medium-rare, flipping them halfway through, or until desired doneness.
  • Let the cooked steaks rest for about 5 minutes before slicing.

Serving

  • Slice the steak against the grain for maximum tenderness and serve.

Notes

To store leftovers, cool to room temperature, wrap tightly, or place in an airtight container. Refrigerate for up to three days or freeze for longer storage.
