Ingredients

Carrots

  • 1 pound fresh carrots Look for firm and vibrant carrots.

Seasoning

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Helps to enhance the flavor and crispiness.
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme Or your favorite herbs.
  • optional: fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

Preparation

  • Begin by washing and peeling the carrots. Cut them into even-sized pieces, about 1-2 inches long, to ensure they cook uniformly.
  • In a large bowl, combine the carrot pieces with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and dried thyme. Toss everything together until the carrots are well coated in the oil and spices.

Cooking

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Once preheated, place the seasoned carrots in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Avoid overcrowding to ensure even cooking.
  • Cook the carrots for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  • When the carrots become fork-tender and golden brown, remove them from the air fryer. Sprinkle with fresh parsley if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

For storage, let the carrots cool completely before transferring them to an airtight container. They can be stored in the refrigerator for up to four days or frozen for up to three months.
