Ingredients
  

For the cookie dough

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened Ensure butter is softened but not melted.
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour Can substitute with almond or gluten-free flour.
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Preparation

  • Cream together the softened unsalted butter and granulated sugar in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
  • Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing well until all ingredients are combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt, then fold into the wet mixture until a soft dough forms.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 320°F (160°C).

Baking

  • Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough, shape into balls, and slightly flatten.
  • Place the cookie balls in the air fryer basket, allowing space for expansion.
  • Air fry cookies for about 8 to 10 minutes until edges are golden and centers remain slightly soft.
  • Remove from the air fryer and let cool on a wire rack.

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week or freeze for longer storage.
