  • 2 cups gnocchi Store-bought or homemade
  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup Asiago cheese, grated Use high-quality for the best flavor
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For cooking the chicken
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced For flavoring the sauce
  • to taste salt and pepper For seasoning
  • for garnish Fresh parsley, chopped

Preparation

  • Bring a large pot filled with salted water to a boil.
  • Once boiling, add the gnocchi and cook for about 2-3 minutes until they float to the surface. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chicken pieces and cook for 5-7 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  • Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about a minute until fragrant.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer to create a rich sauce.
  • Gradually stir in grated Asiago cheese until melted and the sauce is creamy.
  • Gently toss the cooked gnocchi in the sauce to coat well.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days in the refrigerator. Can be frozen for up to three months. Thaw before reheating.
