Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the mashed bananas and softened butter until smooth.
  • Add brown sugar and granulated sugar, mixing well to combine.
  • Stir in the egg and vanilla extract until well blended.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together baking soda, salt, and all-purpose flour.
  • Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the sheet, leaving space between each.

Baking

  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream. For a gourmet touch, add a sprinkle of sea salt on top before baking.
