Ingredients
  

For the Chicken

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup buttermilk Soak chicken for at least 30 minutes.
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper Adjust according to heat preference.

For the Sauce

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce Optional for added heat.

Preparation

  • Cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces and pat dry with a paper towel.
  • Soak the chicken pieces in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the breadcrumbs, flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.

Cooking

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  • Remove the chicken from the buttermilk and shake off excess. Dredge each piece in the breadcrumb mixture.
  • Place the coated chicken pieces in the air fryer basket, ensuring they don’t overlap.
  • Cook the chicken for 10-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  • Ensure the chicken is golden brown and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  • While the chicken cooks, combine mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha in a bowl.
  • Once cooked, toss the chicken in the sauce until well coated and serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, cut chicken into uniform size. Cook in batches if necessary. Consider double-coating for extra crunch.
