Pasta and Meat

  • 12 ounces rotini pasta
  • 1 pound ground beef Can be substituted with ground turkey or chicken.

Sauce Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese Use freshly grated for best results.
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a vigorous boil.
  • Add rotini pasta once boiling and cook according to package instructions until al dente (usually 8 to 10 minutes).
  • Drain the pasta in a colander and set aside.

Cooking the Beef

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add ground beef, breaking it apart and browning for 5 to 7 minutes until rich brown.
  • Stir in minced garlic and sauté for 1 to 2 minutes until fragrant.

Making the Sauce

  • Pour heavy cream into the skillet, mixing well and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Add grated Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning, stirring until cheese is melted and sauce is creamy.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Combining

  • Add the drained rotini to the skillet, tossing everything together to coat the pasta in the sauce.
  • If needed, add a splash of reserved pasta water to adjust the sauce consistency.

Serving

  • Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute beef with ground turkey or chicken. Always taste the sauce before serving to adjust seasoning. Incorporate red pepper flakes for added spice.
