Ingredients
  

Pasta

  • 8 oz pasta (fettuccine or egg noodles) Use your preferred type of pasta.

Shrimp

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning Use good quality for best flavor.

Vegetables

  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced

Sauce

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup beef or chicken broth Use broth of choice.

Other

  • 2 tbsp olive oil For cooking shrimp.
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish For color and freshness.

Instructions
 

Cooking the Pasta

  • Cook the pasta in a large pot according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Preparing the Shrimp

  • In a bowl, toss the peeled and deveined shrimp with Cajun seasoning until well coated.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and add the seasoned shrimp.
  • Sear the shrimp for about 2-3 minutes on each side until blackened and opaque. Remove and set aside.

Making the Sauce

  • In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium and add chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until soft.
  • Add sliced mushrooms and cook until nicely browned.
  • Pour in heavy cream and broth, stirring to combine. Allow to simmer gently.

Combining

  • Return the shrimp to the skillet and add the drained pasta, mixing everything together.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serving

  • Plate the blackened shrimp stroganoff and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

For best results, use high-quality Cajun seasoning and avoid overcrowding the skillet while searing shrimp. Experiment with adding vegetables or using different proteins for variety.
