For the Chicken Tenders

  • 1 pound chicken tenders
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs Use high-quality breadcrumbs for best results.
  • 1/2 cup flour All-purpose flour works well.
  • 2 large eggs Beaten for the egg wash.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper Adjust according to preference.
  • as needed Olive oil spray For enhancing crispiness.

Preparation

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a medium bowl, mix flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • In a second bowl, beat the eggs for the egg wash.
  • In a third bowl, have your breadcrumbs ready.

Coating the Tenders

  • Coat each chicken tender in the seasoned flour, shaking off excess.
  • Dip the tender in the beaten eggs, then coat with breadcrumbs, pressing gently.
  • Repeat for all chicken tenders.

Cooking

  • Place the coated tenders in the air fryer basket, avoiding overcrowding.
  • Lightly spray the tenders with olive oil.
  • Cook for about 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through for even cooking.
  • Ensure they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) before serving.

Serving

  • Remove from air fryer and serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 3 months. For a spicy variation, add cayenne pepper to the egg wash.
