  • 1 unit onion, diced
  • 1 unit bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 units Burger buns

Preparation

  • Prepare your workspace and gather all your ingredients.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet, heat a bit of oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion, bell pepper, and minced garlic. Sauté for about 5 minutes until soft and fragrant.
  • Add the ground chicken to the skillet, breaking it up with a spatula, and cook for 7–10 minutes until golden brown. Stir occasionally for even cooking.
  • Sprinkle in the Cajun seasoning and mix well into the meat.
  • Pour in the ketchup and Worcestershire sauce, stirring until well combined.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste. Allow to simmer for about 5–10 minutes on low heat.
  • Optionally, toast your burger buns.
  • Once heated through, assemble by spooning the mixture onto the bottom half of each bun.
  • Place the top half of the buns over the filling, and your Cajun Chicken Sloppy Joes are ready to serve.
