Cajun Shrimp and Steak Alfredo Pasta

Ingredients
  

Pasta and Protein

  • 8 oz fettuccine or your favorite pasta Use any pasta shape you prefer.
  • 1 lb shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye, cut into bite-sized pieces) Choose high-quality steak for best flavor.

Sauce Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese Add more for serving if desired.
  • 3 tbsp Cajun seasoning Adjust according to your spice preference.
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • for garnish Fresh parsley (chopped)

Instructions
 

Preparation of Pasta

  • Boil a large pot of salted water and cook fettuccine according to package directions until al dente.
  • Drain the pasta, reserving a splash of pasta water.

Cooking Steak

  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter.
  • Season the steak with salt, pepper, and a little Cajun seasoning, then sear for 3-4 minutes on each side.
  • Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.

Cooking Shrimp and Sauce

  • In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of butter and toss in the shrimp.
  • Cook for 2-3 minutes until shrimp turn pink to opaque, then add Cajun seasoning and minced garlic, cooking for another minute.
  • Reduce heat to medium, pour in the heavy cream, and add grated Parmesan cheese along with remaining Cajun seasoning, stirring until smooth.
  • If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of reserved pasta water to adjust consistency.

Combining Ingredients

  • Toss the cooked fettuccine, seared steak, and sautéed shrimp into the Alfredo sauce, mixing well to coat.

Serving

  • Plate portions of the creamy pasta, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve with additional Parmesan if desired.

Notes

Serve immediately for best taste. Consider pairing with a light salad or garlic bread.
