  • 3 cups peeled and chopped apples Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, or Fuji varieties recommended.
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon butter For cooking the apples.
  • 4 cups whipped cream Use flavored whipped cream for extra flavor.
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce High-quality sauce is recommended.

Preparation

  • Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Add chopped apples and stir to coat in melted butter.
  • Sprinkle in brown sugar and ground cinnamon.
  • Cook apples for 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender and caramelized.
  • Remove from heat and cool slightly.

Assembly

  • Layer caramelized apples at the bottom of dessert cups.
  • Add a generous layer of whipped cream on top.
  • Repeat layering until cups are filled, ending with whipped cream.
  • Drizzle caramel sauce over the top layer of whipped cream.

Refrigeration

  • Refrigerate dessert cups for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes
