  • 1 box brownie mix (plus ingredients as directed on the box) Follow the instructions on the box for additional ingredients.

For the Cheesecake Filling

  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened Ensure cream cheese is at room temperature for best results.
  • 1 cup sugar Granulated sugar.
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract Use pure vanilla extract for a better flavor.
  • 2 large eggs Use room temperature eggs for easier mixing.

For Topping

  • 1 cup caramel sauce Store-bought or homemade.
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional) For added richness; can be omitted.
  • 1 cup whipped cream (optional) For serving.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven according to the instructions on the brownie mix box.
  • Prepare the brownie mix as instructed (usually by combining the mix with eggs, oil, and water).
  • Grease your springform pan generously to prevent sticking.
  • Pour the brownie batter into the greased pan and spread it evenly.

Baking

  • Bake according to the package instructions, then allow to cool completely.

Cheesecake Layer

  • In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.
  • Gradually add the sugar and vanilla extract, mixing well.
  • Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • Carefully pour the cheesecake batter over the cooled brownie base in the springform pan.
  • Drizzle caramel sauce over the top, and sprinkle with chocolate chips if desired.
  • Return the pan to the oven and bake for 50-60 minutes, checking for doneness.

Cooling

  • Allow to cool on the counter before refrigerating.
  • For the best flavor, chill for several hours or overnight.

Serving

  • Remove the cheesecake from the springform pan and optionally transfer to a decorative platter.
  • Serve chilled, with a dollop of whipped cream and an extra drizzle of caramel sauce.

Notes

Store leftovers tightly wrapped in the refrigerator for 5-7 days. You can freeze individual slices wrapped in plastic for up to three months.
