  • 2 cups dark chocolate chips

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
  • Mix in the vanilla extract and the eggs one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated before adding the next.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually incorporate this dry mixture into the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed.
  • Gently fold in the dark chocolate chips.
  • Using a rounded tablespoon or cookie scoop, drop mounds of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between each.
  • Sprinkle flaky sea salt on top of each cookie.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 9-11 minutes, until edges are golden and centers are slightly underbaked.
  • Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For extra chewiness, consider chilling the dough for 30 minutes before baking. Store in an airtight container; they can last up to a week at room temperature.
