For the Sandwich

  • 2 slices bread Your choice of whole grain, white, or sourdough.
  • 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded Use leftover chicken or rotisserie chicken.
  • 1 ripe avocado, mashed Look for one that gives slightly when pressed.
  • 1 cup shredded cheese Cheddar or mozzarella, choose your favorite.
  • to taste salt and pepper Freshly ground adds more flavor.
  • butter Butter for grilling Adds delicious crispiness.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine shredded cooked chicken with mashed avocado and season with salt and pepper.
  • Spread the chicken and avocado mixture over one slice of bread.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheese on top of the mixture.
  • Top with the second slice of bread.
  • Butter the outside of both slices of the sandwich.

Grilling

  • Place the sandwich in the skillet and grill for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
  • Flip the sandwich carefully and grill the other side for another 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted.

Serving

  • Remove the sandwich from the skillet, let it cool for a moment, then slice in half and serve warm.

Notes

For better texture, use bread that can withstand grilling and opt for high-quality ingredients.
