  • 2 tablespoons paprika Adjust according to taste for more smoky flavor.
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup sour cream Can substitute with Greek yogurt.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions
 

Cooking Chicken Paprikash

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, stirring until translucent and fragrant, about 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Introduce the chicken to the skillet and brown on all sides for around 5 to 7 minutes.
  • Sprinkle paprika over the chicken and stir to coat evenly.
  • Add the sliced bell pepper and chicken broth to the skillet and bring to a gentle simmer.
  • Cover the skillet and let it cook for about 25 to 30 minutes.
  • Lower heat and stir in the sour cream until fully combined. Season with salt and pepper as desired.
  • Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

Serve over egg noodles or alongside dumplings. Crusty bread is great for soaking up the sauce. Can add more vegetables or use turkey instead of chicken for variations.
