A fun and tasty dish that combines the classic flavors of Chicken Parmesan into delightful slider form, perfect for lunch, dinner, or as an appetizer.

Ingredients
  

For the Sliders

  • 24 pieces frozen breaded chicken tenders Use any preferred brand.
  • 1 package Hawaiian sweet rolls (12 oz) These provide a slightly sweet flavor.
  • 1 package sliced provolone and mozzarella cheese blend (7.5 oz) Feel free to substitute with other cheese blends.
  • 1 jar marinara sauce (24 oz) Store-bought or homemade can be used.
  • ½ cup butter Melted for topping.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Enhances flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes Adjust quantity to spice preference.
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese Adds a savory touch.
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh basil For garnish and added flavor.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Cook the frozen chicken tenders according to package instructions until golden and crispy.
  • Slice the Hawaiian rolls horizontally, keeping them attached to form a top and bottom.
  • Place the bottom half of the rolls in a greased casserole dish.

Layering

  • Layer the cheese blend over the bottom half of the rolls.
  • Bake this layer for a few minutes until the cheese starts to melt.
  • Spoon marinara sauce evenly over the melted cheese.
  • Lay crispy chicken tenders on top of the sauce and drizzle with more marinara sauce.
  • Add another layer of cheese on top of the chicken tenders.
  • Gently place the top half of the rolls back on.

Finishing Touch

  • Melt butter and mix in garlic powder and crushed red pepper flakes.
  • Brush this mixture over the tops of the rolls and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F for about 15 minutes, until golden brown.
  • Let cool slightly before serving and top with minced basil.
  • Cut into sliders and serve warm.

Notes

For extra crunch, broil the sliders for the last minute or two of cooking. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days. You can also freeze assembled but uncooked sliders for up to three months.
