Cooking Instructions

  • Begin by heating the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the chopped onions to the skillet and sauté for approximately 3 to 4 minutes until translucent.
  • Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  • Add the sliced chicken breasts to the skillet, spreading them out evenly. Cook for about 5 to 7 minutes until fully cooked and golden brown.
  • Incorporate the sliced mushrooms and cook for another 3 to 4 minutes until softened.
  • Sprinkle the flour over the mixture, stirring well to coat.
  • Gradually pour in the chicken broth while continually stirring to prevent lumps.
  • Continue cooking for about 3 to 5 minutes until the mixture thickens to a creamy consistency.
  • Remove from heat, gently stir in the sour cream until well combined.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve hot over cooked egg noodles or rice and garnish with chopped parsley.

Notes

To prevent overcooking the chicken, cook until just golden brown. Customize by adding vegetables or trying different proteins.
