Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix until smooth.
  • Stir in the chocolate chips, nuts (if using), vanilla extract, and salt until evenly mixed.

Baking

  • Drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space for spreading.
  • Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until the edges are set. The centers may look slightly underbaked.
  • Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
