Ingredients
  

For the Cake

  • 1.75 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar granulated
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips

For the Glaze

  • 0.5 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp peanut butter
  • 1-2 tbsp milk for the glaze

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add dry mixture to wet ingredients, alternating with milk, mixing until smooth.
  • Gently fold in the mini chocolate chips.

Baking

  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  • Bake for 50 to 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Glazing

  • Whisk together powdered sugar, cocoa powder, peanut butter, and enough milk to reach desired consistency.
  • Drizzle the glaze over the cooled cake before slicing and serving.

Notes

For optimal results, ensure all ingredients are at room temperature. Don't overmix the batter to maintain a light texture. Store leftover cake wrapped tightly to keep it fresh.
