Ingredients
  

Cream Cheese Layer

  • 8 oz cream cheese Make sure it's at room temperature
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 cups whipped topping Divide into half for layering and garnish

Chocolate Pudding Layer

  • 1 cup chocolate pudding mix
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 tsp peppermint extract

Crunch Layer

  • 1 cup crushed chocolate peppermint cookies For texture and flavor
  • 1/4 cup chocolate syrup For drizzling on top

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese and powdered sugar using a hand mixer or whisk until smooth and creamy.
  • Gently fold in half of the whipped topping until fully combined. Set aside.
  • In another mixing bowl, mix chocolate pudding mix with milk and peppermint extract, whisking until it thickens.

Layering

  • In a 9x13 inch dish, spread half of the cream cheese mixture evenly across the bottom.
  • Pour half of the chocolate pudding mixture over the cream cheese layer.
  • Sprinkle half of the crushed cookies on top.
  • Repeat the layering with the remaining cream cheese mixture and chocolate pudding.
  • Top with the remaining crushed cookies.

Finishing and Serving

  • Drizzle chocolate syrup over the top layer and garnish with additional whipped topping.
  • Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
  • Allow to sit for 10 minutes at room temperature before slicing for cleaner cuts.

Notes

For best flavor, make-ahead and chill overnight. Avoid freezing the dessert as the texture may change.
