  • 1 cup brown sugar (packed) Packed for the best sweetness.
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar Regular sugar for sweetness.
  • 2 large eggs Use room temperature for better mixing.
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract Pure vanilla extract recommended.
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour Sifted for easier mixing.
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon For the batter.

Topping Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar For topping.
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon For topping.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Beat until smooth and creamy.
  • Add in eggs and vanilla extract. Mix until everything is fully blended.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
  • In a small bowl, combine the topping sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle it over the batter.

Baking

  • Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Allow to cool in the pan before cutting into squares.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature. These blondies pair well with ice cream and can be customized with mix-ins like chocolate chips or nuts.
