  • 1 pound ground beef Use high-quality beef for best flavor.
  • 1 cup small pasta shells Can substitute with other small pasta types.
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (15 oz) Use with juice for extra flavor.
  • 1 cup beef broth Preferably low-sodium.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Can replace with other types of cheese.
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream Adjust for desired creaminess.
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • to taste Chopped parsley (optional, for garnish) Adds freshness.

  • Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat for about 7-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  • Add the small pasta shells, diced tomatoes with juice, and beef broth. Include garlic powder, onion powder, and season with salt and pepper. Stir and bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat to simmer, cover the skillet, and cook for about 12 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Once pasta is cooked, remove the lid and stir in heavy cream and shredded cheddar cheese until melted.
  • Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley if desired.

Notes

Pair with a fresh side salad or steamed vegetables. A crusty piece of bread is great for soaking up extra sauce. Watch the pasta to avoid overcooking.
