Ingredients

Main ingredients

  • 8 ounces pasta (your choice, such as fettuccine, penne, or rotini) Choose your favorite pasta shape.
  • 2 cups vegetable broth This forms the base for the creamy sauce.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Adds richness to the sauce.
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese For stirring in at the end for creaminess.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic enhances the flavor.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Adjust according to your preference.
  • Chopped parsley for garnish For a fresh touch before serving.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large pot, add the pasta, vegetable broth, heavy cream, and minced garlic. Make sure all ingredients are submerged.
  • Place the pot on the stovetop over medium heat. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil, stirring occasionally to prevent the pasta from sticking.
  • Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and let it simmer. Continue to stir now and then, ensuring everything cooks evenly. Aim for a cooking time of approximately 10–15 minutes, or until the pasta is tender and the sauce reaches a creamy consistency.
  • Once the pasta is cooked through, remove the pot from heat. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and mix until the cheese is completely melted and incorporated into the sauce.
  • Taste your dish and add salt and pepper as needed to enhance the flavor.
  • For a lovely finishing touch, sprinkle chopped parsley on top, and serve hot right from the pot.

Notes

If the sauce becomes too thick, you can loosen it by adding a little more vegetable broth or cream. Consider adding a variety of vegetables or protein like grilled chicken or sautéed mushrooms for a heartier meal.
