  • 2 pounds chicken breast Approximately 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup pepperoncini peppers, sliced For a tangy flavor
  • 1 cup chicken broth Use low-sodium if preferred
  • 1 cup heavy cream For a rich and creamy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For sautéing the chicken
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Enhances the flavor

Instructions
 

Cooking the Chicken

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then add them to the skillet.
  • Cook for 6-7 minutes on each side or until browned and fully cooked.
  • Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.

Making the Sauce

  • In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about one minute until fragrant.
  • Add sliced pepperoncini and chicken broth to the skillet, stirring well and scraping browned bits from the bottom.
  • Reduce heat to low and pour in heavy cream, allowing to simmer for about five minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Return the chicken to the skillet, coating it in the creamy sauce. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  • Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

Serve over rice, pasta, or alongside steamed vegetables for a complete meal. For added flavor, consider adding crushed red pepper flakes, and use fresh ingredients whenever possible.
