Main Ingredients

  • 2 pieces Boneless and skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup Creamy pesto sauce Store-bought or homemade for a fresh taste
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil For frying the chicken
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese Freshly grated
  • to taste Salt For seasoning
  • to taste Pepper Freshly ground

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Season chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper.

Cooking

  • Place seasoned chicken breasts in the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes on one side.
  • Flip chicken and cook for another 5-7 minutes until fully cooked through (internal temperature should be 165°F or 75°C).
  • Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
  • Add creamy pesto sauce to the same skillet and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  • Return chicken to the skillet and coat well with the sauce.
  • Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the chicken, and let it melt into the sauce for another 2-3 minutes.

Serving

  • Plate the Creamy Pesto Chicken and serve hot, garnished with extra Parmesan if desired.

Notes

For best flavor, use high-quality pesto and Parmesan. You can add sautéed vegetables for added nutrition and flavor. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container and refrigerated for up to three days.
