Ingredients
  

Filling ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Make sure it is at room temperature for easier mixing.
  • 1 cup crab meat (real or imitation) Break imitation crab into smaller pieces for better distribution.
  • 2 tbsp green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Wrappers

  • 1 pack wonton wrappers

Cooking and serving

  • as needed cooking spray To prevent sticking.
  • to taste sweet and sour sauce or chili sauce For dipping.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, crab meat, green onions, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix thoroughly until you achieve a smooth filling.
  • Take a wonton wrapper and place a teaspoon of the filling in the center.
  • Wet the edges of the wrapper with a little water using your finger. Fold the wonton in half diagonally to form a triangle. Press the edges tightly to seal.
  • For an attractive shape, take the two outer corners of the triangle and fold them inward, pressing them together to secure.

Cooking

  • Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 3-5 minutes while you prepare the remaining rangoon.
  • Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  • Place the rangoon in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd the basket.
  • Spray the tops lightly with cooking spray to encourage crisping.
  • Cook them in the air fryer for about 8-10 minutes or until they turn a golden brown color, flipping them halfway through the cooking time for even crispness.
  • Remove the crispy rangoon from the air fryer and let them cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For a spicy kick, add finely chopped jalapeños or a dash of sriracha to the filling. You can also substitute the crab meat with finely chopped vegetables for a vegetarian version.
