  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt until evenly combined. Set it aside.
  • In a separate large bowl, cream softened butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar using a mixer until light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips gently with a spatula.
  • Drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.

Baking

  • Bake in preheated oven for 9 to 11 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and the centers remain soft.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For the ultimate experience, enjoy warm cookies with a glass of cold milk. You can also pair them with ice cream or make cookie sandwiches. Store in an airtight container at room temperature or freeze for longer preservation.
