  • 1/2 cup Plain Flour
  • 1/2 cup Cornstarch
  • 2 units Eggs Beaten
  • 1/2 cup Honey
  • 2 tbsp Sriracha Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • Vegetable Oil For frying
  • Salt and White Pepper Optional, to taste

Instructions

Preparation

  • Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the plain flour, cornstarch, salt, and white pepper.
  • In a separate bowl, beat the eggs.

Coating the Chicken

  • Dip each piece of chicken into the egg mixture, allowing excess to drip off.
  • Dredge the chicken pieces in the flour and cornstarch mixture, ensuring they are fully coated.

Frying

  • Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan over medium-high heat.
  • Fry the chicken pieces in batches for 5-7 minutes per side or until golden brown.
  • Drain fried chicken on paper towels to remove excess oil.

Preparing the Sauce

  • In a saucepan, combine honey, Sriracha sauce, soy sauce, and garlic powder over medium heat.
  • Stir until it begins to simmer, then mix cornstarch with water and add to the saucepan.

Combine and Serve

  • Toss the cooked chicken in the honey Sriracha sauce until well coated.
  • Serve over rice or noodles, garnished with sesame seeds and chopped spring onions.

Notes

For best results, ensure oil is hot enough before frying to maintain crispiness. Can be served as an appetizer with toothpicks.
