Ingredients
  

For the Chicken

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • to taste Salt and freshly ground black pepper for seasoning
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour for breading
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons water to mix with eggs
  • 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs for extra crispiness
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil for frying

For the Garlic Cream Sauce

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour for the roux
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese to add to the sauce

  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  • Set up a breading station: In one shallow dish, add all-purpose flour seasoned with salt and pepper; in another dish, mix eggs with water; in a third dish, combine Panko breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, and Italian seasoning.

Breading and Frying the Chicken

  • Dredge each chicken breast in the seasoned flour, then dip in the egg mixture, and finally coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
  • Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat and add breaded chicken breasts. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.

Baking and Making Sauce

  • Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  • Meanwhile, in a separate saucepan, melt unsalted butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute.
  • Stir in flour to create a roux and cook for another minute. Gradually whisk in chicken broth and heavy cream, cooking until the mixture thickens (about 5-7 minutes).
  • Remove from heat and stir in grated Parmesan cheese, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.

Plating

  • Remove the chicken from the oven. Place on serving plates and drizzle with garlic cream sauce, garnishing with fresh parsley.

Notes

Serve with rice, pasta, or steamed vegetables. Adding a squeeze of lemon juice enhances the flavors beautifully.
