Ingredients
  

Cinnamon Roll Base

  • 2 tubes refrigerated cinnamon rolls
  • 1/4 cup salted butter (melted)
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  • Lightly spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Cut the cinnamon rolls into small 3/4-inch pieces and distribute them evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together milk, melted butter, maple syrup, eggs, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until smooth.
  • Pour the custard mixture evenly over the cinnamon roll pieces and gently press down with a fork.

Baking

  • Place in the preheated oven and bake for 25 to 35 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and let it cool for 10 to 15 minutes before drizzling with frosting.

Notes

For serving, enjoy warm or at room temperature. Consider adding a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to three days or freeze for longer storage.
