  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Icing Ingredients

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk Adjust for the desired consistency.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a large cake pan.
  • Open the first can of refrigerated cinnamon roll dough and lay it flat on a clean surface.
  • In a bowl, mix the brown sugar and ground cinnamon.
  • Spread the melted butter over the unrolled dough.
  • Sprinkle the cinnamon and brown sugar mixture evenly over the buttered dough.
  • Roll the dough tightly from one edge to the opposite edge and slice it into pieces, about 1 to 2 inches thick.
  • Arrange the slices upright in the greased cake pan so they are touching.

Baking

  • Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  • While the cake is baking, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract to make the icing.
  • Allow the cake to cool slightly before drizzling the icing generously over the top.

Notes

For variations, consider adding chopped nuts, using cream cheese filling, or trying different frosting options such as maple icing.
