  • 1 cup Powdered sugar
  • 2 cups Whipped cream For topping.
  • 1 cup Pumpkin puree Can be canned or homemade.
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon Plus a pinch for the cream cheese mixture.
  • ½ teaspoon Ground nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, blend the softened cream cheese with the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of cinnamon until smooth.
  • In another bowl, combine the pumpkin puree with the ground cinnamon and nutmeg, stirring until well combined.
  • Layer the gingerbread cookies at the bottom of a 9x9-inch baking dish.
  • Spread a portion of the cream cheese mixture over the gingerbread layer.
  • Pour the pumpkin mixture on top of the cream cheese layer.
  • Repeat the layering process until ingredients are used up.
  • Top the last layer with whipped cream and smooth it out.
  • Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

Serving

  • Remove plastic wrap and slice through the dessert with a sharp knife or spatula.
  • Serve directly from the dish, garnishing with extra whipped cream or a sprinkle of cinnamon.
