Ingredients
  

Bread and Cheese

  • 2 slices slices of bread (your choice: white, whole grain, or sourdough)
  • 2 slices slices of cheese (options include cheddar or American)

Burger Patty

  • 1 patty burger patty (beef or meat alternative based on preference)

Butter and Toppings

  • to taste Butter (for spreading)
  • to taste Optional toppings such as sautéed onions, pickles, or even mustard

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Start by heating a skillet over medium heat.
  • Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.

Cooking

  • Place one slice of bread in the skillet, buttered side down.
  • Add your burger patty on top of the bread.
  • Lay down the two slices of cheese over your burger patty.
  • Take the second slice of bread and place it on top, buttered side up.
  • Grill it until the bottom is brown and crispy (3-4 minutes), then gently flip to grill the other side.
  • Once both sides are golden brown and the cheese is melted, remove it from the skillet and let cool for a minute.
  • Slice in half and serve warm.

Notes

Pair with a side of crispy fries or a fresh salad. Customize with toppings like tomatoes or avocado, and serve with spicy mustard or ketchup for dipping.
