Ingredients
  

For the Sticks

  • 2 tubes crescent dough sheets Use refrigerated dough for best results.
  • 1 pound deli-sliced ham Choose your favorite type of ham.
  • 8 sticks cheddar cheese String cheese works perfectly.

For the Topping

  • ¼ cup melted butter For brushing on top.
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce Adds extra flavor.
  • ½ tablespoon Dijon mustard For a bit of tang.
  • ½ tablespoon dried minced onion or onion powder Enhances flavor.
  • ½ tablespoon poppy seeds For garnish and additional flavor.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking sheet by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
  • Roll out the crescent dough sheets on a clean surface and cut each sheet into four pieces.

Assembly

  • Place a portion of deli-sliced ham over each piece of dough and top with a cheddar cheese stick.
  • Fold in the ends of the dough and roll it up to seal the filling. Repeat for all pieces.

Topping

  • In a small bowl, combine melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, minced onion, and poppy seeds.
  • Brush the butter mixture generously over each Ham and Cheese Stick before placing them on the baking sheet.

Baking

  • Bake for about 12-15 minutes, keeping an eye on them, until they turn golden brown.
  • Allow to cool for a moment before serving.

Notes

These sticks are great for serving with various dips like mustard, ranch dressing, or barbecue sauce. You can also customize the filling with different types of meats or cheeses.
