  • 2 cans 12.5 oz cans of white premium chunk chicken breast Can also use about 2 cups cooked shredded chicken.
  • 1 cup low-fat cottage cheese For a smoother texture, blend before mixing.
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese Feel free to experiment with different types of cheese.
  • cup buffalo wing sauce Add more for extra heat if desired.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Open the canned chicken and drain any excess liquid. Place the chicken in a large mixing bowl. Use a fork to break apart any large chunks.
  • Blend the low-fat cottage cheese in a blender until smooth. You can add a dash of water if it's too thick.
  • Incorporate the smooth cottage cheese into the chicken bowl. Add shredded cheddar cheese and buffalo wing sauce, stirring until well combined.
  • Grease a large baking dish and pour the dip mixture in, spreading it out evenly.
  • Bake for about 30 minutes, until the dip is hot and bubbling at the edges.
  • Garnish with additional buffalo sauce, ranch or blue cheese dressing, and chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

For serving, pair with tortilla chips or fresh veggie sticks like celery, carrot, cucumber, or bell peppers. This dip is also versatile; consider adding cooked vegetables or switching out the chicken for plant-based proteins.
