  • 1 cup barbecue sauce Use your favorite brand
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Garnish

Preparation

  • Prepare your crockpot by placing the frozen meatballs directly into it, ensuring they are evenly distributed.

Sauce Preparation

  • In a medium-sized bowl, combine the barbecue sauce, honey, ketchup, soy sauce, and Dijon mustard.
  • Add the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and black pepper. Mix everything well until smooth.
  • Pour the sauce mixture over the meatballs and stir gently to ensure each one is coated.

Cooking

  • Cover the crockpot with its lid, and select either high heat for 2 to 3 hours or low heat for 4 to 5 hours.
  • Stir occasionally to prevent sticking and promote even cooking.
  • Once cooked, transfer the meatballs to a serving dish and sprinkle with chopped parsley, if desired.

Notes

For enhanced flavor, let meatballs marinate in the sauce for a few hours or overnight. Double the recipe for larger gatherings, and allow meatballs to cool slightly before serving.
