Preparation

  • Cut the beef into uniform cubes of about one to two inches for even cooking.
  • Mince the garlic using a sharp knife to release essential oils.

Making the Sauce

  • In a medium bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, sesame oil, and minced garlic, whisking until smooth.

Cooking

  • Place the beef cubes in the slow cooker and pour the honey garlic sauce over them, ensuring each piece is well coated.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  • Check the beef for doneness; it should be tender enough to pull apart with a fork.
  • Mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry and stir it into the slow cooker. Cook for an additional 15 minutes to thicken the sauce.

Notes

Serve over rice, steamed vegetables, or in lettuce wraps. Garnish with sesame seeds or fresh herbs for added flavor.
